IndyHumane is the first choice in providing direct services for shelter cats and dogs, including adoption, foster home placement, behavior training, appropriate medical care, and affordable spay/neuter services. As the voice for the animals, IndyHumane brings together like-minded animal-focused individuals and groups to educate the public about animal welfare issues and concerns. For more than 100 years, it’s all about the animals.

Since 1975, we have helped more than 66,350 victims and educated more than 365,750 individuals on the effects of domestic violence and its impact on our community.

Every day we assist hundreds of women and children in their quest to live a life free of abuse.  It takes the strength of a dedicated staff, our Board of Directors, and the support of our community for us to succeed and to continue to meet those needs day in and day out.

The Ronald McDonald House of Indiana provides a supportive home-away-from-home for more than 5,000 families of children every year receiving medical care at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health and other area hospitals.

Each day, Second Helpings volunteers and staff rescue prepared and perishable food from wholesalers, retailers and restaurants — preventing unnecessary waste. That rescued food is used to create 4,000 hot, nutritious meals each day that are distributed to 80 social service agencies that feed people in need.

United Way of Central Indiana is able to recruit volunteers, donors and advocates from our six regional counties to LIVE UNITED and help create opportunities for a better life for all, in their county and beyond.

Wheeler Mission Ministries helps the homeless in Indiana. Wheeler is a non-denominational, Christian, social services organization, which provides critically needed goods and services to the homeless, poor, and needy of central Indiana without regard to race, color, sexual orientation, creed, national origin, or religion.

Wheeler is not a church, but does cooperate with many different churches that are concerned about poverty and homelessness in the inner city.
